By Craig Williams, Director, Bishop International Airport
For decades Bishop International Airport has been the smart way to fly in Southeast and Mid-Michigan. We are a proud supporter of Michigan Radio and are incredibly thankful for the relationship we have. Through sponsorship, Michigan Radio allows us to share our message with business and leisure travelers in hopes of making their travel experience easy and convenient, in an efficient and friendly atmosphere.
Bringing you more travel opportunities while making the experience relaxing is what drives Bishop International Airport. We’re especially grateful for the opportunity to communicate all the recent service changes with Michigan Radio’s listening audience.
In April 2016, Southwest launched three daily flights from Flint to Chicago-Midway. This new route opened up more connections than ever before. Passengers can now easily connect to their favorite cities like Phoenix, Houston, Austin, and Nashville. In addition, Bishop welcomed Allegiant, an ultra-low cost carrier offering twice weekly nonstop routes to Tampa Bay/St. Pete and Orlando/Sanford.
In July 2016, United Airlines introduced daily nonstop flights to New York/Newark. This route is a vital east coast connection for business and leisure passengers. The flight is perfectly timed for a day trip if you have meetings in the city and want to return home the same evening.
Michigan Radio plays a vital role in helping us achieve our goals by allowing us to reach an audience that we consider family and loyal customers. We look forward to continuing our relationship with Michigan Radio while growing our family at Bishop International Airport.
